Our Mayor abruptly resigned less than a year and a half into his 4 year term. Our City Administrator and highest paid City employee up and quit less than a year into his new job. Mayor Pro Tem and Councilor Ellen Burton has announced her departure after only 1 term this November.
Councilor Melissa Smith has also decided to hang it up after 17 years, even though she ran to be Mayor as a write-in only 2 years ago. 4-term Councilor Steve Hogan isn't running for his council seat again either, instead believing he's best suited to save the sinking ship as Camas' new Mayor.
