Today's Question:

What do you see as the Council’s vision in working with other cities in Clark County and the County Council as a whole?

Leslie responds:

We are just a village in a larger community. We must understand our role in a larger picture. We must be good neighbors and work together. But we also compete with our neighbors, and in that context, we must be protective of what we have. We must be constantly aware of things that may degrade our quality of life and the beauty and health of our community. We must be willing to say no to the things that may be good for others but are bad for us. We must always advocate for Camas first. Great legislators must be great communicators. And I look forward to establishing and maintaining those relationships with our County officials, while at the same time advocating first and foremost for what’s best for Camasonians.

Thanks for the question. If you have a question, just send me a note at leslieforcamas@gmail.com.
